SHREVEPORT, La. – Interstate 49 south was closed early Friday due to a crash between two 18-wheelers.
It happened around 1:20 a.m. on I-49 near Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. The section closed is north of North Market, and it remained closed at 8 a.m.
Police confirm one person was killed in the crash and two others were injured.
Drivers were asked to use Louisiana Highway 1 or U.S. Highway 71 as alternate routes.
